Object Website — Webby Honoree

We are very excited to announce that the Object website you are looking at right now has just been given the title of Webby Honoree in the Cultural Institutions category for the 16th Webby Awards.
From their website:
‘The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 during the Web’s infancy, The Webbys is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, which includes an Executive 1,000-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities, and Associate Members who are former Webby Award Winner and Nominees and other Internet professionals.’
The Webbys received over 8000 entries for the 2012 Awards, in many categories. In each category, five nominees were chosen, and then in many of the categories, at the discretion of the judges, a number of honorees were selected, representing the large body of high quality entries.
The Object website, so fabulously redesigned and redeveloped last year by our incredible corporate partners Canvas Group, is the only Australian organisation site bestowed either a nomination or an official honor in the ‘Cultural Institutions’ category — it is an honour we are very proud of.
