CUSP Deinstall

Hello from Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre where CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade is being deinstalled and packed up ready to start its national tour from the beginning of 2014.

It has been a hectic two days with many Object helpers taking photos, recording works and packing. There was a big push to get the pallets of furniture ready for pickup. The other big job was the fit out of the three travel cases that hold all the work and digital components for such an exhibition as CUSP.

It has required many hours of cutting special foam inserts to house delicate objects, which was painstaking yet enjoyable, especially when we got to see another completed drawer of work go into a crate.

Thanks must go to IAS, our dedicated freighter for the tour. Two 8 ton trucks of exhibition furniture and works must be expertly packed to travel from venue to venue. It is good to know that CUSP is in safe care. The two IAS trucks have loaded up and left now. Packing a massively large and complicated show such as CUSP was a team effort relying on months of planning and making of crates and pallets, collating and ordering of packing supplies and preparing paperwork.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone from Object and Casula Powerhouse for a job well done.

CUSP will tour to the following venues;
