Frequently asked Object questions.

Got a question? We’ll do our best: email us.

How do I get to Object Gallery?
Object is located very close to Taylor Square, on the border of Surry Hills and Darlinghurst in Sydney’s inner east. It is a twenty to thirty minute walk from Central Station (up quite a steep hill) or slightly shorter from Museum Station. There are a number of bus routes that go up Oxford Street with stops at Taylor Square - see for routes and timetables.

Some street parking does exist, though it is quite busy and most of it is timed. There is parking available at St Margarets - head down the driveway next to Woolworths. The first hour is free.

What else is there to do around Object?
Object is right in the heart of the inner east of Sydney. Surry Hills, Darlinghurst and Paddington are all close by, with many retail stores, cafes and bars. There are also many other galleries within walking distance of Object - check out Urban Walkabout for some great ideas as to where to start when planning a trip to Object Gallery.

How can I read Object magazine?
From February 2011, with the release of Object magazine issue 60, Object magazine has only been available digitally. Issue 60 is only available as an iPad app. If you don’t have an iPad, you can find highlights and versions of most of the stories contained within it at Object on iTunes U.

Issue 61, launched in October 2011, is available not only on iPad, but also on Android tablet devices and through our website for viewing on desktop computers. The app (and the web version) are not optimised for use on phones or smaller handheld media devices such as iPod Touch – it is recommended that you access them either on a compatible tablet or on your desktop or laptop computer.

From issue 61, all issues are available in this cross-platform fashion.

Past issues of the magazine are available by contacting Object, where in stock.
